Our Meeting in Uganda

by Jenn Shepherd : December 5, 2008

About one month ago, ChildVoice International leaders met with elders and community leaders of the Kulubel and Lukodi villages in northern Uganda, and a piece of land was donated to ChildVoice to be the site of our larger residential campus. The land is just north of our current Lukodi Centre and measures approximately 35 acres. A few details needed to be sorted out, but one month later we are beginning to use the land and make it our own. It is now the dry season in Uganda, but this new land is close to two springs so our cows, goats and sheep will likely graze there as the grass is plentiful, and the community will begin making br icks b y hand to build our new campus. This new campus will be home to 1,000 children who were affected by the war, including formerly abducted child mothers and their children.
